Can I import my guest list from a spreadsheet like Excel?
Yes! Here's how:
- Download the Say I do excel template
- Paste or fill in your guest names, remembering to leave a blank row between each party. What's a party?
- Save or Export as .xlsx format
- Navigate to your Guest List from the main navigation
- Click the 'cog' icon
- Select Import from Spreadsheet
Important: Are your guests not uploading correctly? Most of the time this is due to incorrect formatting, so check that you have left a blank line between parties, that you have the guests in the first sheet of the spreadsheet, and that you haven't left a large group on unformatted guests at the bottom.
Information is missing after import
If your guests import but information such as their email addresses is missing, check that you:
• Used the Say I do spreadsheet template.
• Did not rename, remove or rearrange any column headings.
• Entered each email address on the same row as the correct guest.
• Kept your guest list in the first worksheet.
• Saved the completed spreadsheet as an .xlsx file.
Try importing the corrected spreadsheet again. If the information is still missing, contact us and attach the spreadsheet so we can check its formatting and column mapping.
