How do I register a custom domain name?
You can register a custom domain name for your wedding website directly from your Say I do account.
Before you confirm
Once your domain name is registered, it cannot be changed or edited. Double-check the spelling and make sure you’re happy with the full address before clicking “Yes, register”. A different address would require purchasing a new domain name.
Register your domain name
- Sign in to your Say I do account and open Wedding website.
- Open your website Settings by clicking the Settings tab.
- Under Website address, click Choose domain.
- Enter the domain name you’d like and click Check Availability. If it’s unavailable, click Try another and choose a different name.
- Check the full address carefully. If you’re happy with it, click Yes, register to confirm. To change your choice before registering, click No, change it.
If you haven’t purchased a custom domain name yet, you’ll see Custom domain name and a buy link instead of Choose domain. Complete the purchase, then return to these steps to choose and register your name.
Keep the registration window open until you see the confirmation. Your domain is registered immediately, but it can take up to four hours to start working across all internet providers.
