Showing different website content depending on which guest is viewing

You can control who sees each website section by setting section visibility rules. Depending on your settings, a section can be shown to:

  • All guests
  • Guests invited to a selected event
  • Guests with selected tags

This is useful when you want different guests to see different content (for example, travel details, rehearsal info, or bridal party notes).

To show different content depending on who is viewing the website:

  1. Edit your website by clicking Wedding website in the main navigation
  2. Expand the section you wish to change the visibility of
  3. Find the 'Visibility' option
  4. Configure this option as desired

If a guest cannot see the section:

  • Confirm the website is identifying the guest (banner/name indicator appears).
  • Confirm the guest has the required tag in Guest List.
  • Confirm the section visibility is set to tags and saved.

How does it work?

Couples can generate content that is selectively visible to specific guests, determined by defined criteria. If a section of a website is configured to display exclusively to certain guests according to predetermined criteria, it will remain hidden until there is a degree of certainty that an authorised guest is browsing the site. The display of a banner at the top of the website indicating that the site is being accessed by a particular guest signals the visibility of the aforementioned sections to these guests.
