Website Privacy Options

Search Engine Privacy

At Say I do, we do not automatically send your website to Google or other search engines, however if your website is shared somewhere online that search engines have access to (such as chat applications, social media, etc), then it is likely that your website will be added to their search "index". Once a website is added to a search index, it means that it can be found in their search results by using relevant search terms.

While we do not control search results, we do have options to prevent your website from being added to search results or seen by search engines, see options 1 and 2 below.

Privacy from Unwanted Guests

While it's impossible to fully stop unwanted guests getting access to your website through actual invited guests, you are able to add a passcode to the website to minimise the chances of this happening through them finding out your website address. See option 1 below.

Increasing your Website Privacy

Option 1: Add a Website Passcode

Adding a website passcode will prevent people as well as search engines from accessing the information on your website. You can add a website passcode by following the instructions.

Option 2: Turn on PrivateShield

Turning on PrivateShield will stop your website being added to search results such as on Google, Bing, and DuckDuckGo. PrivateShield should be turned on prior to your website being added to their search results (ideally, before you publish your website), otherwise it can take some time for them to remove it. You can turn on PrivateShield by following the instructions.
